Olympics update from Onondaga Road

OR Olympics are scheduled for tomorrow morning, Friday, June 16, at 9:30-11:30.  The weather is looking questionable, so here's the plan...

If it's rainy tonight and just wet in the morning, we'll hold Olympics as planned!

If it's stormy in the morning, our rain date for the Olympics is Monday, June 19.

If your child wears his or her team colored T-shirt to school on Friday and we happen to cancel, no worries! Just wear it again on Monday!

Onondaga Road June Blog

Thank you for your continued support from home.  Although the end of the school year is near, the next two weeks are busy ones!

Tuesday, 6/13
  • Grade 4 goes to the Erie Canal.
  • Grade 2 goes to Fesco Farms.
  • Please dress appropriately for the weather, and apply sunscreen before coming to school.

Wednesday, 6/14
  • We have invited Onondaga Road School retirees to visit our school and tour the new library and cafeteria!  They will join us at 1:00 and hopefully stay for our Flag Day festivities, too.
  • At 2:00 we will host our annual Flag Day Parade and ceremony.  As we did last year, weather permitting, our ceremony will be held in the front lawn.  If you decide to join us outdoors, please remember to leave your dog at home!

Thursday, 6/15
  • Grade 5 goes to the Ultimate Goal.
  • Kindergarten goes to the Le Moyne family theater.

Friday, 6/16
  • OR School Olympics take place at 9:30-11:30.  Your child received a note regarding his/her team color for the day, and it looks to be a fun-filled morning of activities.

Monday, 6/19 and Tuesday, 6/20 are full days of school.

Wednesday, 6/21 and Thursday, 6/22 are half-days.
  • Dismissal is at 11:30 on these days.  If you choose to pick up your child, please do not arrive until 11:15, as “walkers” and “pick-ups” will be dismissed at 11:20.
  • Our Fifth Grade Recognition Ceremony will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 in the gym with a small reception immediately following in the cafeteria.  Finally, our fifth grade students will visit West Genesee Middle School Thursday morning.

We look forward to a positive year-end experience for each child.
