Onondaga Road January Update

As we continue our journey through the Positivity Project and the lessons of character strengths, our students are learning about perseverance, hope/optimism, and prudence throughout this month of January. Students are learning a lot about themselves and others.

Our end-of-day dismissal process seems to be running more smoothly so far this new year.  As you know, we have moved our dismissal of "walkers" into the cafeteria, rather than the main entrance hallway.  This has allowed us to keep the hallway clear of congestion and make a safer exit process for all students.  Thank you, again, for waiting until 3:10 to arrive for dismissal.  Your help is appreciated, and you understand that this is safer all around. Please continue to call ahead or send a note if you will be picking up your child, if this is a change to his/her regular dismissal routine.

What?! An ice-cream social in January?  You heard that right!  We are hosting our second annual BINGO-Ice Cream Social this Thursday, January 25 at 6:00.  There's something strangely funny about eating ice cream on a cold winter's night, and it's fun!  Bring the family for some fun and games... Oh, and ice cream!

Please remember that this Friday, January 26 is a Professional Development Day for our staff, and there is no school for students.
