We look forward to the many exciting opportunities that 2018 has to offer!
On behalf of Onondaga Road
students and staff, I would like to extend a heartfelt note of appreciation for
the many gifts and meals we distributed to the greater community during the
holiday season. Thanks to all of you, we
helped to make many families’ holidays a little brighter. Your generosity and kindness are truly
overwhelming.
Now that you have all had
the opportunity to attend parent-teacher conferences and review your child’s
first report card (progress report) of the year, your feedback will help us as
we move forward. Please take a few
minutes to complete the survey found here.
This month, as we head into
a new year of resolutions and goals, our students will be studying the
character strengths of perseverance, hope/optimism, and prudence through the
Positivity Project. Students are learning
to identify their own strengths and to appreciate others’ strengths as well.
The elementary ADAPEP
counselors at West Genesee have organized an incredible opportunity for all
parents to attend called Parenting Wisely
on Tuesday, January 16, 2018. There will be three separate topic sessions:
(1) Acting Out in Public, (2) Conflict with Other Children, and (3) Children
and Technology. This will be held at Stonehedge Elementary School, and parents
from all elementary schools are welcome.
Pizza will be served beginning at 5:45, and childcare will be provided
so that parents may attend the sessions which begin at 6:15. Please register by
Monday, January 8, 2018. You can
register by clicking here, or you can call us at school and we will register you!
