Greetings from Onondaga Road!

 Spring Break

Enjoy your spring break week!  School is closed from March 29 through April 5.  We will see you on Tuesday, April 6!

Many Thanks
Thank you for your outstanding community support. Together, with all of our West Genesee elementary schools, our Green Day for MDA was a huge success!  We were able to make a contribution of $3,491.62 to the Muscular Dystrophy Association in Colton’s name!  Many thanks to all of you for your heartfelt support!

Pizza with Police
Mrs. Marchesani’s class and Ms. Tschernjawski’s class enjoyed a pizza luncheon with Officer Skardinski this week.  Thank you again to Pies Guys for donating the pizza for these fun gatherings!

Report Cards
Students report cards will become available for you to view in SchooTool through the Parent Portal on Saturday, March 27.  If you need help accessing your child’s report card, or if you need a hard copy for any reason, please call our school office after spring break and we can help you.

Free National Park Service Passes

Every fourth grade student is eligible to receive a FREE National Park Service's (NPS) Every- Kid-in-a-Park Pass. NYS will accept this pass for free vehicle entry admission (with the fourth grader present) for all of their State Parks in 2021. The fourth grade student and anyone in the vehicle will have free entry. This pass is also accepted at state historic sites for the fourth grade student and up to three adults. Read more about the program using this link: https://parks.ny.gov/environment/connect-kids.aspx

#PositivityInAction
When we return after our break, we will focus on identifying and appreciating the good in others!

Enjoy the week off, and we will see you on April 6!
Sincerely, Jeannette Clark

Greetings from Onondaga Road!

Greetings from Onondaga Road!

Green Day Thank You!

On behalf of Colton’s Crew and all of us here at Onondaga Road, THANK YOU for your participation in Green Day for MDA.  We were able to raise awareness of Muscular Dystrophy, and because of your extreme generosity, we will make a significant contribution to the MDA in Colton’s name. All of our elementary schools participated, and we are beyond grateful. Donations are still arriving! Once we know the combined total, we will let you know.   We were fortunate to have had Andrew, one of our former OR students who is now a senior about to graduate, join us and play the bagpipes while we lapped the loop!  Thanks to Colton and his family, Mrs. Gauthier, Mr. Schiffer, Mrs. Files, Mrs. Schad, their fourth grade crew, and thanks to all other West Genesee Elementary Schools for making this day a great success. I would like to extend my appreciation to the Camillus Police Department, Fairmount Fire Department, and WAVES Rescue for supporting our Green Day for MDA.  Additionally, I would like to thank the SECNY Credit Union for helping us to count all of the change/coins without charging a fee. Hope you enjoy some of our pictures here!

Pizza with Police

Thank you Officer Skardinski and Pies Guys for this special treat and experience.  Mrs. Ryan’s Kindergarten class and Mrs. Scherer’s 2nd grade class were the winners of our pizza luncheon!

#PositivityInAction
We have certainly demonstrated our share of love, humility, social intelligence, and compassion this week.  Goodness knows we support each other through thick and thin with a great sense of humor, too!  Humor is our positivity trait for next week!

Reminder For the remote families who were unable to make it to school today to pick up your materials, please contact school to make arrangements as soon as possible. Monday starts the final marking period and our children will need their new books.

Thanks again and again for your continued support!

Sincerely, Jeannette Clark
