Greetings from OR

 Dismissal Reminder

Thank you for your patience as we navigate our dismissal process.  As you know, our buses have been arriving to school a bit later (about 10-15 minutes) since the middle school students have returned to school full time.  The reason for this is that the buses are making daily middle school runs prior to coming to our school.  Our bus dismissal that had regularly been at 2:20 is now at 2:30 or so.  For the safety of our children, we will still be dismissing students to cars after our buses have dismissed.  For that reason, if you are picking your child up from school, it is best if you arrive at 2:30 so as to not block traffic in Onondaga Road.  As soon as buses are gone from the bus loop, we can get our cars in and out safely.  And finally, if you are driving and pulling out from school, please turn right only, as turning left from the parking lot or bus loop is too risky and also holds up traffic.  Remember to be courteous to other drivers, and always make safety our top priority!

Pizza with Police

I would like to extend sincere appreciation to Officer Tom Skardinski for making this Pizza with Police endeavor a reality, and for spending time getting to know our students and giving our students a chance to know his role.  Each class has had a pizza luncheon, and the children have enjoyed this tremendously!  Additionally, thank you to Pies Guys Pizzeria on Milton Avenue, as they graciously and generously donated pizza to every single classroom without charge.  We appreciate you!  This week’s pizza lunch went to Mrs. Madden’s first graders and Mrs. Laurie’s third graders.
