Greetings from Onondaga Road!

April Showers Bring
Of course, May flowers!  But according to Mrs. Brown’s fourth graders, there is a lot more to look forward to in the springtime!  April showers bring:
worms, ice cream stands, grilled hot dogs, skateboarding, hiking, fresh cut grass, barbeques, baseball, lemonade, sunflowers, spring break, sandals, flip-flops, popsicles, sidewalk chalk, jumprope, hopscotch, four-wheelers, lawn mowing, tulips, daffodils, fishing, bike riding, kickball, raincoats, umbrellas, days staying lighter later…
How about you?  What does spring bring your way?

Ramadan Mubarak!
Happy Ramadan!  This year Ramadan began on the evening of Tuesday, April 13 and will end the evening of Wednesday, May 12. Ramadan concludes with Eid Al-Fitr, the “Festival of Breaking the Fast.”  To gain a better understanding about Ramadan and what it means to our Muslim community members, here is an essay written by West Genesee High School senior, Sereen Awawda. Thank you, Sereen, and Ramadan Mubarak!

#PositivityInAction
“Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it” (Confucius).  Are you a person who sees it?  Next week we will learn about people who have the character strengths that allow them to appreciate beauty and excellence.  These people not only notice but they appreciate the world’s beauty and other people’s skills.  They don’t take things for granted.

Pizza with Police
Mrs. Severson’s Kindergarten class and Mrs. Williams’ third graders enjoyed a pizza luncheon thanks to Pies Guys and Officer Skardinski!  A good time was had by all.  Thank you!
